GM Michael Adams

GM Michael Adams is my role model in chess. I find his games and style of play to be the most inspiring to me. His opening repertoire is one that I'm drawn to, and his moves have a natural quality to them that rings true for me. The photo is from the 2004 FIDE World Championship, where Mickey made it to the finals, only to be defeated by GM Rustam Kasimdzhanov in rapid playoff games. He is with his long-time girlfriend, Tara.
